The Brazosport Swim Team attended the District 12-4A Swimming Championships at the El Campo Aquatic Center on Friday, January 13, 2023. The girl's team finished the meet in 2nd place. All 12 team members qualified to represent Brazosport High School in the Region 3-4A Swimming and Diving Championships in Houston on January 26-27. The following swimmers qualified for the Region Meet:
- Girls 200 Medley Relay - 2nd Place - Bailey Broom, Kelsie Myers, Sophie Stowers, and Cydnee Webb
- Boys 200 Medley Relay - 3rd Place - Joquin Moreno, Michael Venne-Viktorin, Miguel Martinez, and Eddie Acosta
- Girls 200 Individual Medley - 3rd Place - Kelsie Myers
- Girls 100 Butterfly - 1st Place - Sophie Stowers (she broke her own school record and set a new District Record)
- Girls 200 Freestyle Relay - 3rd Place - Bailey Broom, Kelsie Myers, Sophie Stowers, and Cydnee Webb
- Girls 100 Backstroke - 1st Place - Sophie Stowers (she broke her own school record and set a new Pool and District Record)
- Girls 400 Freestyle Relay - 4th Place - Layla Marquez, Claribel Gonzalez, Kaylee Martinez, and Victoria Monteagudo
Freshman Sophie Stowers was also awarded the District 12-4A Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association Female Athlete of the Meet. Congratulations Coach Adam Collins and swimmers on your great accomplishments!
