BISD students once again take the Heart Healthy Challenge to heart. In the more than 35-year history of Jump Rope For Heart, now Kids Heart Challenge, the American Heart Association has impacted the lives of millions. The American Heart Association has been able to work with healthcare providers to reduce the number of people dying from heart disease and stroke by 25% and those achievements, in part, are because of the awareness brought about by schools and the lifesaving donations students have raised. BISD schools are proud to be a part of this lasting legacy of hope and health!
Each campus put their own twist on the event with fun themes, activities, and unique ways to motivate and reward students with the most earnings. Between the participating campuses, BISD raised a total of $21,326.00 for the American Heart AssociationⓇ
