Brazosport Junior Angel Pina has been selected to attend the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC) Washington Youth Leadership Seminar. On October 4-8, 2023 an estimated 50+ selected candidates from around the country, including Puerto Rico, will participate in this outstanding leadership opportunity.
Angel has already distinguished himself as a great leader at Brazosport High School as the Junior Class President, member of PALS and state officer for the Business Professionals of America (BPA).
Brazosport teacher Jaime Morena said, “We are so super proud of Angel for not just being selected, but for being an amazing example of our student body, our campus and an amazing example for our future Brazosport students.”
Throughout the seminar, participants focus on their own leadership and how to apply what they have learned back in their communities. Selected candidates also serve as representatives of their communities to amplify their voices concerning this year's topic on affirmative action. The program provides participants the opportunity to meet with Congressional members, Corporate America representatives, and public and private institution representatives.
A special thank your our local Brazosport LULAC Council #4655 for their help with sponsorship and assistance with the trip.
