Twenty-five Brazosport ISD students are among the 100 seniors across Brazoria and Matagorda counties who have secured full-time job offers through the Brazoria County Petrochemical Council’s (BCPC) Career Signing Day program.
This annual initiative connects high school seniors directly with local contractors and industry leaders in the petrochemical field—offering a clear pathway from classroom learning to career success. Through a competitive process that includes applications, interviews, and evaluations of academic and personal achievements, these students earned job offers in high-demand skilled trades like welding, pipefitting, and industrial construction.
“These students are graduating with more than just a diploma—they’re graduating with a job, a plan, and a future,” said Bridgette Percle, BISD Director of Career and Technical Education. “Programs like this change lives. Our students are walking into high-wage, high-growth industries ready to work and ready to succeed.”
BISD students will be honored during BCPC’s official Career Signing Day celebration on April 22, 2025 at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College. The event recognizes students’ hard work and highlights the critical partnerships between schools and the petrochemical industry that make these opportunities possible.
Superintendent Danny Massey emphasized the importance of BISD’s CTE programs in preparing students for real-world success. “Brazosport ISD is committed to graduating students who are future ready—whether that means college, military, or jumping straight into the workforce,” said Massey. “Career Signing Day is a powerful example of what can happen when educators and industry work together to support student success and strengthen our local economy.”
The Career Signing Day program has launched hundreds of students into successful careers, and for many BISD graduates, it’s the beginning of something truly life-changing.
