Brazosport High School joins Brazoswood Ninth Grade Center, Clute Intermediate, and Grady Rasco Middle School as one of this year’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools. Each campus received surprise announcements from The Flippen Group after earning the national distinction for their continued commitment to building strong, positive relationships and cultivating a safe and welcoming school culture.
This recognition highlights campuses that exemplify the Capturing Kids’ Hearts® processes and consistently create an environment where students feel valued, connected, and empowered to succeed. Clute Intermediate has now earned this distinction for six consecutive years, Brazoswood Ninth Grade Center has received the honor for five years in a row, and Rasco Middle School is celebrating its second consecutive year as a Showcase School.
Superintendent Danny Massey praised the dedication of our educators saying, “This national award highlights the importance of ensuring student success through building and prioritizing genuine, supportive connections,” he said. “Our staff have fully embraced the Capturing Kids’ Hearts philosophy, and it shows in the positive learning environments they’ve created.”
The Flippen Group evaluates schools based on nominations, staff implementation of Capturing Kids’ Hearts practices, and improvements in areas such as attendance, student behavior, academic performance, and overall school culture. Site visits, interviews with stakeholders, and climate surveys are all part of the rigorous selection process.
BISD congratulates the staff and students of Brazosport High School, Brazoswood Ninth Grade Center, Clute Intermediate, and Rasco Middle School for their leadership in building connected communities and modeling what it means to lead with heart.
