On April 22, 2025, the Brazoria County Petrochemical Council (BCPC) hosted its 6th Annual Career Signing Day, where a record-breaking 252 students from across the county interviewed with local industrial companies. Of those, 104 students—including 23 BISD seniors—were offered and accepted full-time positions, signing letters of intent to enter the workforce directly after graduation. Their success highlights the growing impact of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in preparing students for in-demand careers in our community.
Brazosport ISD was once again well represented with students from Brazosport High School and Brazoswood High School signing on with companies in the construction, petrochemical, and manufacturing industries. Many of the students honored have completed advanced CTE pathways in welding, construction technology, manufacturing, business, and through BISD’s partnership with Brazosport College’s Catalyst Program.
"We are proud to see our students recognized by industry leaders for their hard work, skills, and commitment to the workforce,” said BISD CTE Director Bridgette Percle. “Career Signing Day continues to shine a light on the many opportunities available to students who pursue CTE pathways and the strong relationships between our schools and local industry.”
BISD Superintendent Danny Massey added, “Career Signing Day is a powerful example of our mission in action—graduating students who are truly future ready. We’re proud of these seniors for stepping into high-skill, high-demand careers and grateful to our industry partners for investing in the future of our students and our community.”
This year’s event included inspiring keynote messages from Dr. Chris Boleman, CEO Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, who congratulated the students on their achievements and applauded their decision to begin building their futures in essential industries.
Career Signing Day is more than a celebration—it is a powerful reminder of the role CTE plays in equipping students with the skills, certifications, and real-world experiences needed to succeed after graduation. Through events like this, BISD continues to support and elevate students as they step confidently into their next chapter.
Congratulations to these BISD seniors who signed on with industry partners, and thank you to BCPC and all participating companies for supporting their next steps:
