Brazoswood High School is proud to announce that junior Harper Nichols has earned enough points to apply for the 2025 ILPC (Interscholastic League Press Conference) All-State Journalism Team. Harper has accumulated an impressive 71 points this school year — well above the 50-point minimum required for eligibility.
Points toward this honor are earned through participation and success in a variety of competitive journalism events, including Academic UIL Journalism contests and state and national yearbook and photography competitions. Harper’s role as Editor-in-Chief of the Treasure Chest yearbook staff also contributed significantly to the achievement.
The ILPC All-State Journalism Team recognizes outstanding high school journalists across Texas, and team members will be officially announced in July.
"I am incredibly proud of Harper’s hard work, leadership, and dedication to excellence in student journalism," said Lela Siegel, adviser for the Treasure Chest yearbook. "This accomplishment is a testament to her talent and commitment. Harper puts in many hours working toward her goals and just working to become a better journalist and photographer, and it shows."
