The clinic was originally set up at Velasco Elementary, and is now also located on the campus of Brazosport High School. The services offered are available to all BISD students, giving campus counselors a valuable additional resource for referral.

“With the clinic being present on these campuses, students and staff can get prompt medical care which often allows them to stay in school without having to miss class time,” said BISD Health Services Coordinator Molly James, RN.

“Our expanded partnership will the Health Clinic provides additional medical support for our students, and a huge convenience for all our staff,” noted BISD Superintendent Danny Massey.

In addition to the health clinics services BISD provides all of its staff members the convenience of getting their annual flu shot on campus. During the week of September 25-29, Spence’s Medical Center Pharmacy came in and set up flu shot clinics throughout the district to provide the service to all interested staff. The pharmacy also provided additional vaccines upon request during this time.
