The Brazosport ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Retention Stipends for eligible employees to be paid out in September of 2021. Employees must have been employed in the 2020-2021 school year and continued their employment with Brazosport ISD (without separation/resignation) to be eligible for the retention stipend.  

All employees paid on the Teacher Pay Matrix will receive a lump-sum retention stipend as outlined below (in addition to the base pay increase approved at the June 2021 board meeting):

  • Stipend tier based on 2020-2021 salary step:

    • 0-5: $700

    • 6-10: $1,050

    • 11-15: $1,300

    • 16-20: $1,550

    • 21+: $1,800

All other BISD employees, who meet the eligibility requirements, will receive a lump-sum retention stipend equivalent to 2.5% of their 2020-2021 base pay.

“This retention stipend is another way for Brazosport ISD to recognize the continued support and dedication of all BISD employees, and the important role our employees play in providing our students with the highest quality education possible.
