Valued BISD Volunteer,
As of Monday, August 15, the 2022-2023 Volunteer Involvement Process (VIP) is ready for all volunteers. Whether you are a new volunteer or a returning volunteer, we strongly encourage everyone to take the steps now to join our BISD Volunteer Team. Don’t wait.
Many of our volunteers returned to our campuses last year, but we hope even more feel comfortable returning this year to help us accomplish our goal of preparing our students to be future ready.
As a friendly reminder, each year volunteers must re-apply to volunteer in BISD.
Here are the steps to follow to start the Volunteer Involvement Process or renew your status:

Complete the Background Check - The background check form can be found HERE

Watch the Orientation Video - The 10 minute Volunteer Orientation Video that can be found on the Volunteer Website will explain our district expectations when you volunteer on our campuses.

Connect to Opportunities - Field Trips; PTO; Providing learning support like tutoring; Mentors; Reading Heroes; Assistants in classrooms, libraries, offices, lunchrooms; WATCH D.O.G.S; AR testing with Kindergarten and 1st graders; Fundraisers; Assist with special events; Fine Arts; Booster Clubs; Robotics; STEMS and much more.
