Brazosport Freshman Sophie Stowers Brings Home Silver and Bronze Medals from State
What a way to start one’s high school swimming career! Freshman Sophie Stowers not only set records along the way to state in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke, but she also brought back a silver and bronze medal from the state competition!
Here are a few of the outstanding accomplishments for this student-athlete her freshman year:
- New School Record in the 100 Butterfly (breaking her own record 4 times this season)
- New School Record in the 100 Backstroke (breaking her own record 5 times this season)
- District 12-4A Champion in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke
- New District 12-4A Record in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke
- District 12-4A Girls Athlete of the Meet
- Region 3-4A Champion in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke
- New Regional Record in 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke
- State Bronze Medal in 100 Butterfly
- State Silver Medal in 100 Backstroke
