The Brazosport Exporter Band, under the leadership of Dennis Boucher, earned top honors at the Region Band Marching Competition on October 19 in El Campo, receiving all 1st Division ratings. The band will advance to the Area competition scheduled for Saturday, November 2 at Pflugerville Field. Advancement to Area requires a band to receive a composite 1st Division score. The band received a perfect score of 1st Division ratings by all judges to earn their composite score.
Notably, this marks the 10th consecutive UIL marching competition in which Brazosport HIgh School competed that they earned a First Division rating.
“This is a great achievement by the Exporter Band,” Ron Redden, BISD Assistant Superintendent and Supervisor of Fine Arts shared. “For years, the “Pride of Brazosport” has set a high standard of excellence in marching, and this year is no exception. We are proud of their hard work and excited to see them continue to excel at the Area competition."
Congratulations to the Brazosport Exporter Band for this outstanding achievement and we wish you all the best at Area!
