A total of 17 Brazoswood High School students in Kirksey Baker’s Creative Writing class have been selected for publication in the 2025 Young Writers anthology, Let Creativity Unfold! The national anthology, scheduled for release around December 22, 2025, showcases exceptional student writing from across the country.
The class will receive a complimentary copy of the published book, and additional copies will be available for families who wish to purchase a keepsake of this achievement. Along with being published, the students’ work is also being considered for the competition’s Grand Prize. Winners will be announced on January 30, 2026, and will receive a monetary award and trophy.
“These students work so hard on the stories they are crafting,” said Kirksey Baker, Creative Writing and Honors English II teacher. “Their commitment to writing is evident, and it’s exciting to see their efforts recognized on a national level.”
