The BISD Education Foundation’s Grants for Great Ideas Cash Caravan traveled across Brazosport ISD this week surprising educators with funding to bring creative classroom projects to life.

The annual event celebrates innovation in teaching by awarding grants that support unique ideas designed to enhance student learning and engagement. Foundation representatives, district leaders, and campus staff visited multiple campuses to deliver the exciting news in person, arriving with drumlines, cheers, and plenty of excitement as grant recipients were revealed.

Through the Grants for Great Ideas program, BISD educators are able to introduce new resources, hands-on learning experiences, and creative instructional strategies that expand opportunities for students and enrich the classroom environment.

“Programs like the Cash Caravan highlight the creativity and dedication of our teachers,” said Superintendent Danny Massey. “When educators have the opportunity to turn innovative ideas into reality, our students benefit in powerful ways. We are grateful to the Education Foundation and its donors for investing in the success of our classrooms.”

The BISD Education Foundation raises funds throughout the year to support classroom innovation and student opportunities across the district.

“Seeing the excitement on campuses during the Cash Caravan is always a highlight of the year,” said Nicole Larson, Executive Director of the BISD Education Foundation. “Our donors make it possible for teachers to dream big and bring new ideas into their classrooms, and we are proud to support the incredible work happening across Brazosport ISD.”
