Brazosport ISD is excited to announce the launch of a virtual high school program beginning in the 2026–2027 school year for students entering grades 9–12.
This program offers families flexible learning options, including:
- Fully virtual coursework, or
- A hybrid model, allowing students to take virtual classes while also participating in select face-to-face courses such as Career and Technical Education (CTE), Fine Arts, and Athletics.
This program was created to provide students and families choices for a more flexible learning option while still experiencing the Brazosport ISD mission of graduating each student to be future ready. It is an excellent option for students who work well independently, take initiative in their learning, and want a flexible schedule.
There will be an application process that includes a review of data showing prior academic performance to help determine the student's potential to learn through a virtual platform.
Students enrolled in the BISD Virtual High School Program will be official Brazosport ISD students and will receive standards-based coursework from Brazosport ISD teachers, aligned with the district’s curriculum standards. Courses will follow a structured pacing schedule with clear weekly expectations and due dates.
Students who live outside the Brazosport ISD attendance boundaries are also eligible to apply for the Brazosport ISD Virtual/High School Program.
Our vision is to expand the virtual and blended options to additional grade levels after the 2026-2027 school year.
