Grants for Great IdeasThe BISD Education Foundation is excited about our 4th Grants for Great Ideas grant cycle, beginning October 1, 2018! Eligible applicants, please see information below. If you have any questions, please contact the Foundation at 979-730-7150 or via email at

How to submit an application:

  1. Open application from website
  2. Fill out application
  3. Print Application
  4. Obtain administrative approval signature on application
  5. Scan and save application and supporting documents - scan documents (attachments to application) separately. Supporting document titles should correspond with information provided within the application.
  6. Submit via email (preferred method): Submit application and supporting documents to with the subject line: GRANT WRITER NAME, CAMPUS OR DISTRICT DEPARTMENT, GRANT PROPOSAL TITLE.
  7. Submit paper copy (only if email is not an option due to attachment size): If your application and attachments exceed the size limit for submission via email, you may submit interoffice mail or by dropping off to the administration building. If you submit your application in paper form (not via email), do not staple or bind the documents in any way, and please include 4 copies. Submit in a large, manila envelope with the following information on the front on the envelope: GRANT WRITER NAME, CAMPUS OR DISTRICT DEPARTMENT, GRANT PROPOSAL TITLE and PLEASE DELIVER TO EDUCATION FOUNDATION.
  8. Any supporting documents sent (via email) with the application should be included as separate attachments - not one large documents. Each attachment must be scanned separately. Each attachment should be titled corresponding with the explanation provided within the application. Examples of supporting documents: letters of recommendations, budget explanations/details, vendor quotes, photos or videos (max 3 minutes attached with URL. Video must be web based). EACH ATTACHMENT MAY ONLY BE 2 PAGES. ANYTHING OVER 2 PAGES PER ATTACHMENT WILL NOT BE INCLUDED. 

***Tip for working on application rough draft - print a blank application first, or type long answer questions into a google doc/ word document. This will allow you to work on the application in rough draft form before filling in the final copy. The final copy must be completed in one sitting and printed.

  • Click the link. You may be required to sign into Eduphoria.
  • After logging in, you will be directed to the Eduphoria: Formspace page.
  • Click on the Submit New Form link on the bottom, left side of the page. This will start a form wizard to guide you to the correct form.
  • Select the Technology Category link.
  • Select Technology Request Form
  • Select the appropriate campus. This should open the Technology Request Form for you to complete and submit.

The Grants for Great Ideas Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of program objectives.

Persons Eligible to Apply for Grants:

Individuals or teams of individuals employed by the Brazosport ISD who are involved in the instruction of students or related support services benefiting students.

Eligible Proposals:

Instructional approaches or projected designed to meet the selection criteria (to be announced).

Award of Funds:

The number of awards and the award amounts will be determined by the funds available from the Brazosport ISD Education Foundation. Applicants may request up to $5000 in funding for the 2018-2019 grant cycle.

Due Date:
Grant applications will be available online October 1, 2018 and will be due October 31, 2018. Awards will be made in Spring 2019.

Selection Criteria:
The degree to which the proposal addresses important program objectives. The degree to which the proposal represents a creative or innovative approach to the accomplishment of objectives. (It should address a new project as apposed to one accomplished or under way)The degree to which sound evaluation procedures are incorporated in the proposal. The degree to which the proposal is clear and logical, including (a) specificity of objectives; (b) clarity of description of instructional procedures, methods or treatments; and (c) correspondence among evaluative procedures, objectives and treatments.
