The fifth annual BISD Family 5K brought a record number of participants, plenty of school spirit and a strong show of community support on Saturday, September 26.
More than 713 people registered before race day, making this the largest BISD Family 5K to date. On race day, 407 participants completed the 5K, while 90 young runners took part in the Kids Run.
From the starting line to the finish, the morning was filled with energy and excitement as students, staff, families and community members ran, walked, cheered and enjoyed time together.
Twenty-two student groups and teams volunteered, cheered along the course and represented their BISD campuses throughout the event. Eighteen community partners also participated in the Wellness Fair, connecting with BISD families and sharing resources focused on health and wellness.
The event was made possible with the support of nine generous sponsors and the many volunteers who helped make the morning a success.
