The ACTE Region IV Fellows Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of CTE leaders by providing participants with advanced leadership training and a deeper understanding of Career and Technical Education systems, structures, funding, and program delivery across Region IV states. Fellows also gain hands-on experience with regional and state-level leadership, policy development, and professional collaboration.

“I am honored to be selected for the ACTE Region IV Fellows Program,” said Dickson. “This opportunity will allow me to learn from CTE leaders across the region, broaden my perspective on best practices, and bring valuable insights back to Brazosport ISD to continue strengthening opportunities for our students and programs.”

The one-year fellowship culminates at the 2027 ACTE Region IV Conference and includes a comprehensive series of leadership experiences. Fellows participate in monthly virtual meetings with fellowship coordinators, leadership book studies, and ongoing mentorship with an assigned state CTE leader. The program also requires attendance at multiple state, regional, and national CTE conferences, including the 2026 ACTE Vision Conference and the 2026 and 2027 ACTE Region IV Conferences.

In addition, Fellows collaborate with state CTE leadership to coordinate a state overview session, participate in Region IV policy meetings, and develop and deliver presentations at regional conferences, ensuring meaningful contributions to the broader CTE community.

“Owen’s selection reflects his commitment to leadership, collaboration, and excellence in Career and Technical Education,” said Bridgette Percle, Executive Director of Curriculum & CTE. “We are confident that his participation in this program will further enhance the quality and impact of CTE opportunities for Brazosport ISD students.”

Brazosport ISD congratulates Owen Dickson on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to the continued growth and leadership he will bring to the district and the Region IV CTE community.
