We are deeply saddened by the passing of Coach Fred Bolton.
Coach Bolton began his career in Brazosport ISD in 1990 as the Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator at Brazosport High School, following head football coaching stints in Hitchcock and Bridge City. His football coaching career was highlighted by the 1999 Exporter team, which finished as Regional Finalists with an impressive 12-1 record.
In 2001, he transitioned to the role of BISD Athletic Director before retiring in 2006. Coach Bolton’s passion for the game, his players, and the Brazosport community was evident in everything he did. He made a lasting impact on countless student-athletes and fellow coaches.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bolton family and all who were fortunate enough to know and be influenced by him.
