
The Brazoswood High School Buccaneer Belles Dance Team delivered an impressive performance during their 2026 competition season, earning top honors across multiple categories and showcasing their talent, discipline, and commitment to excellence.
Competing in two events, both the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams brought home multiple awards. The Varsity Belles earned several top placements across a variety of routines, including lyrical, pom, and jazz, and were named First Runner-Up Grand Champion Team. They also received special recognitions from judges for choreography, technique, and overall performance.
The Junior Varsity Belles also had an outstanding season, earning two first-place awards for their jazz routine. In addition, both Varsity and JV teams were recognized for their academic excellence, highlighting their commitment in both the classroom and on the competition floor.
The Belle Dance Officers continued the team’s success with an exceptional season of their own. The officers earned top placements across multiple routines and were named Grand Champion Medium Officer Line, the highest honor awarded in their division. Individual performers were also recognized for their achievements. Katelyn Zielke earned 3rd Runner-Up honors as a 9th Grade Soloist and placed 4th in the Junior Soloist division, while Kynadee Toomer was named 5th Runner-Up in the 10th Grade Soloist category.
“The Belles truly shined this season, and I am so proud of the hard work and early practice hours they put in for this season,” said Belles Director Ashley Farrar. “They represented Brazoswood High School and Brazosport ISD with pride and I’m looking forward to seeing them shine again in their final performance of the year, our annual Spring Show on Friday April 24th.”
