Brazosport ISD has named Kenedy (Schwank) Davis as the new head cheer coach for Brazoswood High School.
A recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Davis earned a bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in professional sales and business development. During her four years as a member of the University of Texas Cheer program, she served as an ambassador for the university while helping coordinate team operations, choreography, appearances, apparel, and special events. She also mentored incoming team members as a rookie trainer.
Prior to competing at the collegiate level, Davis competed with Woodlands Elite Cheer Company, earning experience at some of the nation's highest levels of competitive cheerleading.
Throughout her cheer career, Davis has earned numerous honors, including recognition as an NCA and UCA All-American, Summit National Champion, NCA Champion, and multiple appearances at The Cheerleading Worlds, where she was part of finalist teams. At the University of Texas, she also received the Texas Exes Scholarship.
BISD Superintendent Danny Massey said, “We are extremely excited about Mrs. Davis leading our Brazoswood cheer program. She has outstanding cheer experiences at an elite level. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kenedy and her family over the years and am confident in her abilities to make a positive impact on our cheer program.”
Brazoswood High School Principal Cheryl Roberts also stated, “We have a tremendous amount of school pride at Brazoswood, and we are excited and look forward to supporting Mrs. Davis leading our cheer program.”
Davis will lead the Brazoswood High School cheer program beginning with preparations for the 2026-2027 school year.
