Burlington Stores has generously donated $5,000 through its partnership with the national nonprofit organization AdoptAClassroom.org to support teachers and students at Ogg Elementary in Brazosport ISD. The donation comes in celebration of Burlington’s new store opening in Lake Jackson, located next to Hobby Lobby where Big Lots previously operated.
Ogg Elementary was formally awarded the donation during Burlington’s Grand Opening Celebration, which was held on November 1, 2025. Funds will be used to provide new classroom supplies, helping ensure that Ogg students have the materials and tools they need to learn and succeed throughout the school year.
A representative from
AdoptAClassroom.org connected with district and campus administrators to help secure the donation, which will benefit 31 classrooms with new supplies.
“We are so grateful to Burlington and
AdoptAClassroom.org for choosing Ogg Elementary to receive this generous donation,” said Principal Melanie Pierson. “Our teachers are excited to use these funds to purchase much-needed classroom supplies that will directly support student learning. Partnerships like this truly make a difference for our students and staff.”
Burlington staff shared that their commitment is to give back to the communities where their stores are located. As a result, the company celebrates each new store opening by adopting and funding local classrooms. Brazosport ISD is grateful that Burlington chose to bless one of our campuses with this generous donation, directly supporting our mission to provide every student with the tools and opportunities needed to be future ready.
