Brazosport Senior Xavier Butler proved himself this year as one of the top fastest athletes in the state of Texas. Xavier’s years of hard work and patience paid off with a silver medal in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash events at the UIL State Track & Field Meet. On top of that, his name is now in the Brazosport High School record books with a time of 20.9 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
Xavier's path to this impressive state accomplishment began with the District and Area Championship in both events. And, at Regionals, he earned a trip to the state meet as a top 2 finisher.
Coach Richard Sincere said, “ He (Xavier) has worked so hard to get to this point, and it has been a blessing to be a part of his journey.”
Congratulations to Coach Richard Sincere and all his amazing athletes that made Brazosport High and BISD proud!
