Educators across Brazosport ISD were celebrated with exciting on-campus surprises as recipients of the 2026 CTE Major Giving Grant Awards were revealed. This year’s grant patrol visited Brazoswood High School, Brazosport High School, and Freeport Intermediate School, where CTE teachers were presented with grant funding totaling $77,999.00 to enhance Career and Technical Education programs.
District administrators, community partners, and industry leaders traveled together to each campus to deliver the news in person. Student groups helped lead the celebrations, creating an energetic atmosphere as teachers were surprised in front of their students and colleagues.
“These grants provide students with next-level workforce-aligned resources and hands-on experiences that support industry standards,” said Bridgette Percle, BISD’s Executive Director of Curriculum and CTE. “Thanks to our industry partners, we can continue equipping classrooms with innovative resources that help prepare students for high-demand careers.”
The district’s CTE Major Giving Campaign is made possible through the generous support of local industry partners, including Freeport LNG, Dow Chemical Company, BASF, Marquis Industrial Services, Contech & Ferguson Industrial, Apache Industrial Services, KCG Industrial, Top Coat Fabrication, Wood, Millennium Industrial, Southern Gulf, and Spectrum Camera Solutions. Their investment empowers educators and equips classrooms with cutting-edge tools that support industry-aligned learning experiences.
