This honor places Brazosport ISD among an elite group of just 12 districts nominated across the state of Texas, highlighting the district’s commitment to providing high-quality, real-world learning experiences that prepare students for success beyond graduation.

Area 6 includes approximately 50 school districts, making this recognition especially competitive and significant. The CTE Showcase of Excellence Award recognizes programs that demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact in Career and Technical Education. Brazosport ISD’s nomination reflects the strength of its programs and the district’s ongoing commitment to aligning instruction with workforce needs, industry partnerships, and student opportunity.

“We are incredibly proud of this recognition, which reflects the hard work and dedication of our CTE students and teachers,” said Curriculum & CTE Executive Director Bridgette Percle. She also highlighted the leadership of Owen Dickson, Darin Humes, and Hope Ford, recognizing their key role in expanding and strengthening CTE experiences for students, staff, and industry partners across the district.

Through programs spanning multiple career pathways, BISD’s CTE department continues to provide students with opportunities to earn industry certifications, gain practical skills, and explore future careers while still in high school.

This recognition reinforces Brazosport ISD’s vision of setting the standard for educational excellence and its mission to graduate each student future-ready.
