Brazosport ISD proudly announces that its Child Nutrition Department has been honored with the prestigious 2024 Cream of the Crop recognition. This award celebrates excellence in child nutrition programs, highlighting districts that go above and beyond to ensure students receive nutritious and delicious meals every day.
The Cream of the Crop recognition is awarded to school nutrition programs that demonstrate outstanding commitment to providing high-quality meals, innovative nutrition education, and exemplary service to students. BISD was selected for its dedication to enhancing student well-being through fresh, healthy meal options, creative menu planning, and a strong focus on food security.
“We are incredibly proud of our Child Nutrition team for this well-deserved recognition,” said Danny Massey, Superintendent of BISD. “Their hard work and passion for serving our students nutritious meals make a lasting impact on our school community.”
By sourcing local produce and other foods through its distributors, BISD continues to set a high bar for child nutrition excellence while maintaining a commitment to meeting and exceeding national nutrition standards. The award acknowledges the department’s efforts in ensuring students have access to balanced meals that support their learning and overall health.
