Students Adriana Reyes (11th grade) and Audrey Fambrough (9th grade), under the guidance of Culinary Arts Teacher Mrs. Lauren Sullivan, participated in this exciting international culinary event where they had just 90 minutes to create a European-themed appetizer and entrée.

The competition required students to incorporate four mystery ingredients into their dishes while showcasing their culinary skills and creativity. Adriana and Audrey rose to the challenge, preparing a vibrant and colorful bruschetta appetizer and a delicious entrée of grilled chicken with asparagus, mashed potatoes, and herb butter sauce. The duo’s meticulous attention to detail and the careful presentation of their dishes impressed the judges and earned them the “Most Summery” Award, presented by Judge Summer Navarro of Johnson & Wales University.

The Cook Around the World Culinary Competition brings together talented culinary students from around the country to celebrate creativity and innovation in the kitchen. Brazoswood High School’s culinary program continues to cultivate young chefs who are poised to make a mark in the culinary world.
