Exporter Naliyah White Wins Two District Championships and an Area Championship in Track & Field

The Brazosport High School Track & Field program has hit stride at the right time, turning a strong District 29-4A performance into real momentum as the championship season unfolds.
At the District Meet, the Exporters delivered a complete team effort, highlighted by multiple Area qualifiers and a dominant performance from Naliyah White. White claimed District 29-4A titles in both the long jump and triple jump, including a personal-best mark of 40’ 4.5” in the triple jump—just half an inch shy of the Brazosport all-time record.
Joining her in advancing to the Area Meet were Christopher Norton (Shot Put, Discus), Darrien Wilson (Long Jump), the girls 4x200m relay team of Madison Lemons, Taty’Anna Sanders, Celeste White, and Nevaeh Brookins, Parker Pinckard (300m hurdles), and Trenton Davis (800m). That group carried the fight into the Area Championships on April 16 at Rockport-Fulton High School—and took another step forward.
White continued to lead the way, earning the Area Championship in the triple jump and finishing as Area Runner-Up in the long jump with a new personal best of 18’ 5”. With her performance, she advances to the Regional Meet scheduled for May 1–2 at Texas A&M–Kingsville.
Freshman Parker Pinckard stepped up in a big moment, finishing 3rd in the 300m hurdles with a career-best 41.90 to secure his spot at Regionals. Senior Chris Norton also advanced, placing 4th in the shot put with a personal record of 48’ 3.5”.
The rest of the Exporters’ Area qualifiers closed their seasons the right way—with competitive performances and personal bests. Sophomore Trenton Davis ran 2:07.12 in the 800m, while senior Darrien Wilson posted a PR of 21’ 5.5” in the long jump. The girls 4x200m relay team added a season-best time of 1:48.98 to cap their run.
Now the focus turns to the Regional Meet at Texas A&M–Kingsville on May 1–2, where the Exporters will compete for a chance to extend their season and earn a spot at the UIL State Track & Field Championships.
Brazosport ISD congratulates these student-athletes on their accomplishments and wishes them continued success as they compete at the next level.
