
The Brazosport High School boys basketball team had an impressive season with a trip to the UIL Class 4A Division I State Semifinals, finishing with a 29-10 overall record and one of the program’s deepest playoff runs in recent years.
The Exporters built momentum early in the postseason with a decisive 80-43 win over Calhoun in the Bi-District round, followed by a 71-43 victory over Calallen in the Area round. The team continued to respond in high-pressure situations as the competition intensified. In the Regional Semifinals, the Exporters earned a hard-fought 60-55 win over Austin LBJ. They followed that performance with a 68-67 victory against Davenport in the Regional Finals, securing their place in the UIL State Tournament.
With a spot in the state tournament on the line, Brazosport delivered a complete performance to claim the Regional Championship and advance to the State Semifinals. The Exporters’ postseason run showcased consistency, composure, and the ability to rise to the moment, with each round presenting new challenges and opportunities to compete at a high level.
“I'm incredibly proud of this group and what they accomplished this season,” said head coach Jordan Rose. “They fought through adversity, trusted each other, and represented Brazosport the right way from start to finish.”
Advancing to the state semifinals places Brazosport among the top teams in Class 4A Division I and reflects a season defined by growth, resilience, and teamwork.
