Brazosport ISD is proud to join schools and communities across the nation in celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week, observed this year from February 17–20. Held annually each February and led by the Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation, this special week serves as a powerful reminder that kindness begins with one—one act, one smile, one moment of compassion.
Random Acts of Kindness Week encourages individuals and organizations to come together through intentional acts of generosity, empathy, and positivity. Since its inception, the RAK Foundation estimates that millions of people worldwide have participated in this movement, proving that even the smallest gestures can create a lasting ripple effect.
Throughout the week, BISD campuses will engage in a variety of activities designed to spark kindness, strengthen connections, and inspire students and staff to leave their school communities better than they found them. These efforts reflect BISD’s continued commitment to fostering welcoming, supportive environments where students can thrive both academically and socially.
At BISD, our mission is simple but powerful: to make kindness the norm. By encouraging everyday acts of kindness, we hope to inspire our students, staff, and families to carry these values beyond the classroom and into the community.
