We are pleased to announce the selection of Nicole Larson as the new Executive Director of the Brazosport ISD Education Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to enhance the educational experience of students within the district by providing funding for innovative programs and initiatives that support academic excellence, student growth, and community engagement. Nicole's extensive background in nonprofit leadership, communications, and strategic partnerships will play a vital role in furthering this mission and ensuring the Foundation’s continued success in supporting the district's educational goals.
In her previous role as the Alternative Funding, Education Foundation, and Communications Director for Sweeny ISD she was responsible for leading district-wide fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with donors, and overseeing strategic marketing campaigns. She also managed the Foundation's budget, developed strategic plans, and worked to expand the district’s funding opportunities through grants and community partnerships.
As the Executive Director for the Brazosport ISD Education Foundation, Nicole Larson will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to align fundraising and strategic initiatives with the district’s goals, ensuring continued growth and support for the district's educational programs.
Nicole’s dedication to community service has earned her notable recognition, including being named one of The Facts Newspaper’s 2020 Leaders Under 40, an award that honors individuals for their outstanding contributions to the Brazoria County community. She currently serves as a board member for both the Sweeny Chamber of Commerce and the Sweeny Community Hospital Foundation, where she plays an active role in advancing local initiatives. Nicole is also a member of the City of Lake Jackson Parks and Recreation Board, and her leadership experience extends to the Junior Service League of Brazosport, where she held key roles, including Vice President, Communications Chair, and Teddy Bear Carnival Chair, working to organize and promote events that benefit local families.
Nicole resides in Lake Jackson and her children are student learners attending schools within Brazosport ISD. Her service on the Brazosport ISD Community Ambassador program in 2019 and 2020 further highlights her ongoing commitment to education and community development.
