Brazosport ISD is excited to celebrate the recent achievements of all of our schools in the Freeport and Jones Creek areas, where kitchens have earned perfect scores on their first health inspection for the 2024-2025 school year. Freeport Elementary, Lanier Elementary, S.F. Austin Elementary, Freeport Intermediate, and Brazosport High School all received a flawless score of 100—a testament to the incredible effort and high standards upheld by each campus.
This achievement underscores the outstanding work and dedication of the kitchen staff, who play a critical yet often behind-the-scenes role in students' daily success. From ensuring meals are nutritious and balanced to following stringent safety and cleanliness protocols, the staff goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and safe environment for students to enjoy their meals.
Amy Anderson, BISD Child Nutrition Director said, “Our team takes great pride in ensuring our students receive not only healthy meals, but meals that are prepared safely and with the highest standards. These perfect scores are the result of careful attention to detail, strong teamwork, and an understanding of the importance of providing high-quality meals that fuel both the body and the mind.”
Other BISD campuses are still awaiting their health inspections for the current school year, but with the district’s high standards, we expect similar outstanding results.
Brazosport ISD is proud of the entire kitchen team and their tireless work to maintain these high standards. Congratulations to each school for this impressive achievement, and a special shout out to the dedicated staff who make it all happen every day.
