Three Brazoswood Buc powerlifters will compete at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association (THSPA) Division I State Meet on March 21 and 22 at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene, Texas.
First year powerlifting Coach Kirby Ennis said of his athletes, “All three guys have worked hard and bought into the culture of being dominant and attacking every lift as if it could qualify them for state.” He added, “That has been the mindset and culture ever since we started in late December. That mindset/mentality ultimately paved the way for them to qualify for state. Now that they have qualified, it is time to set a new goal and shock some folks at State by significantly moving up in the rankings.”
