During Public School Volunteer Week, Brazosport ISD is proud to recognize a special group of volunteers who are making a lasting difference in our schools—our Reading Heroes.
Through the district’s Read 20 Together program, Reading Heroes spend dedicated one-on-one time with Kindergarten and 1st grade students, helping build confidence and strengthen early literacy skills. By simply reading together, these volunteers are creating meaningful connections and encouraging a lifelong love of learning.
Our Reading Heroes are an important part of the Brazosport ISD family. Their time, encouragement, and commitment support student success in a powerful way, helping lay the foundation for future achievement both in and out of the classroom.
We invite our community to help us celebrate these incredible volunteers by viewing our Reading Heroes slideshow/video below, which captures the impact they are making across our campuses.

Reading Heroes webpage.
Brazosport ISD is grateful for the continued support of our volunteers. Together, we are making a difference—one student, one book, and one moment at a time.
