Brazosport ISD fifth-grade students had the unique opportunity to participate in BASF’s 31st Annual Responsible Care® Week, a two-day event focused on safety, science, and environmental responsibility.
Approximately 800 students from across the district attended, exploring science through hands-on activities led by nearly 100 BASF volunteers. Through a series of interactive stations, students engaged in real-world applications of science, promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and environmental awareness.
“We are grateful for the continued support from BASF and their commitment to our students,” said Superintendent Danny Massey. “This partnership reflects the shared belief that every child deserves opportunities that help them discover their purpose and potential.”
A BISD life skills class took part in the event for the first time. Monica Caudillo, BASF Manager of Community and Government Affairs, shared her appreciation for this opportunity as well as the inclusion of a life skills class in this year’s event. “I know the district works tirelessly to serve all students, and this event was a powerful testament to that dedication.”
Responsible Care® Week continues to be a strong example of how community partnerships can enhance learning and support the district’s mission to graduate each student to be future ready.
