Brazosport High School freshman trombonist Elias Rios has been selected to the prestigious Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-State Jazz Band. Elias earned the honor of 3rd chair trombone after being chosen from among the tryout recordings submitted by musicians across the state of Texas in classifications 1A-4A. Only 20 musicians are selected for this elite ensemble, making it a significant achievement.
Elias and his fellow All-State Jazz Band members will perform at the ATSSB All-State Concert during the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Convention in San Antonio, February 12-15, 2025.
Congratulations to Director Dennis Boucher and Elias on this outstanding accomplishment! We also want to recognize and celebrate all of the Brazosport band students who took on the challenge of competing this year for this state honor.
