
Brazosport High School took 13 students to the SkillsUSA District contests held across Houston, Rosenberg, and Stafford between January 30 and February 22, 2025. These hands-on competitions challenged students in career and technical categories like welding, welding job exhibits, job interview competitions, teamworks (team build), electrical construction wiring, carpentry and masonry (bricklaying).
Out of the 13 participants, 11 qualified to advance to the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference, which took place April 2-5, 2025 in Corpus Christi.

Additionally, Ulises Varela was chosen as a district officer and will find out his position at his upcoming leadership training. He will attend the National Convention in June.
