Four Brazosport ISD elementary campuses have earned statewide recognition for student achievement and growth. Polk Elementary School, Madge Griffith Elementary School, Beutel Elementary School, and Brannen Elementary School were named 2025 Texas Honor Roll Schools by Educational Results Partnership (ERP). The campuses were recognized during this week’s BISD Board of Trustees meeting.
The Texas Honor Roll highlights schools that demonstrate strong academic outcomes on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), including meaningful progress among students from all backgrounds.
“State assessments are only one snapshot of learning, but this recognition reflects the consistent progress happening in our classrooms,” said Deputy Superintendent Rita Cundieff. “It speaks to the commitment of our teachers, staff, students, and families who work together every day to support achievement.”
To earn this distinction, campuses must perform above similar schools across Texas and show steady growth in both Mathematics and Reading Language Arts over multiple years. Schools must also demonstrate positive outcomes across different student groups, including economically disadvantaged students, students receiving special education services, and students from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
ERP analyzes publicly available STAAR data provided by the Texas Education Agency, comparing schools with similar demographics and enrollment. For more information and to view the full list of Texas Honor Roll schools, visit
