For the first time in school history, two Brazoswood wrestlers have medaled at the UIL State Wrestling Meet, marking a historic achievement for the Buccaneers. Seniors Aaron Reyna and Karen Kime showcased their grit, skill, and determination on the state’s biggest stage, earning fifth and sixth-place finishes, respectively.
Competing at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas, on February 7-8, Brazoswood was represented by four outstanding state qualifiers: Aaron Reyna, Michael Villareal, Karen Kime, and Lupita Gonzalez. Each athlete demonstrated incredible dedication throughout the season, making their coaches, Curtis Roberts, Jr. and Frank Soto, as well as the entire Brazosport ISD community, exceptionally proud.
This milestone reflects the hard work and perseverance of Brazoswood’s wrestling program, setting a new standard for future Buccaneer athletes. Congratulations to our wrestlers for their historic achievements!
