The event aimed to recognize and assist Special Education (SPED), English as a Second Language (ESL), and STEM teachers. Lyndsey Gilbertson from BISD and Any Hartl from Kelly Services played instrumental roles in coordinating this effort.

The supply drive collected a variety of essential classroom items, including glue, tissues, popsicle sticks, playdough, mobile desks, white erase boards with dry erase markers, binders, calculators, math trade books, scissors, headphones, carts on wheels, and storage containers.

Lyndsey Gilbertson, the Science Content Specialist at Dow, shared her thoughts on the event, saying, "It was a pleasure being able to be a part of such a special event where teachers could be recognized for their passion and hard work for our students and be gifted with the things they need for their classrooms in order to be successful this year."

Dow's team proactively surveyed teachers in the previous school year to identify their top three classroom needs and preferences. Based on this input, 15 FIS teachers and 9 teachers from Lanier were provided with tailored support.

Dow Chemical Company's commitment to its community and the education sector shines through in this initiative. The supply drive underscores Dow's dedication to giving back and supporting local educators and students.
