Brazosport ISD will have three evenings filled with fun, fellowship, games, and storytelling to help promote reading!
Beginning Monday, October 12, BISD will host three free evening events at three different locations. In an effort to give our families more options, they can choose to attend in Lake Jackson, Clute, or Freeport.
Families will be able to make and take literacy crafts/activities, participate in storytime, have their picture taken with Pete the Cat, and tour our Amazing Book Bus! In BISD we believe in building a strong foundation in literacy and we know that it is important for families and schools to work together in creating a literacy community.
“We appreciate our community partnering with us to express the importance of literacy,” said BISD Superintendent Danny Massey. “Reading strengthens and reinforces literacy skills for our students as well as for those in our community who will join us in these fun family events.”

Las noches de lectura de BISD llegarán a una ciudad cercana a usted
¡Brazosport ISD tendrá tres noches llenas de diversión, compañerismo, juegos y narraciones para ayudar a promover la lectura!
A partir del lunes 12 de octubre de 2023, BISD organizará tres eventos nocturnos gratuitos en tres ubicaciones diferentes. En un esfuerzo por brindarles a nuestras familias más opciones, pueden elegir asistir a Lake Jackson, Clute o Freeport.
¡Las familias podrán hacer manualidades/actividades para la lectura, participar en la hora del cuento, tomarse una foto con el gato Pete y recorrer nuestro grandioso autobús del libro (Book Bus)! En BISD creemos en construir una base sólida en la lectura y sabemos que es importante que las familias y las escuelas trabajen juntas para crear una comunidad fuerte en la lectura.
"Apreciamos que nuestra comunidad se asocie con nosotros para expresar la importancia de la lectura”, así lo mencionó el superintendente de BISD, Danny Massey. “La lectura fortalece y refuerza las habilidades de leer de nuestros estudiantes, así como de aquellos en nuestra comunidad que se unirán a nosotros en estos divertidos eventos familiares”.
