Tuesday, January 9, 2024 is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD), providing us with an opportunity to extend our gratitude to the BISD Police Department and all officers across the nation. Their commitment to creating a safe environment for us to live, work, and play deserves our utmost appreciation.
To show our support, we encourage everyone to wear BLUE on January 9 as a symbolic gesture of solidarity with those who bravely run toward crises while the rest of us seek safety. Additionally, let's make an effort to express our gratitude personally by taking a moment in January to thank an officer for their service. Below are additional activities you might consider to honor law enforcement on this day.
