Three Brazosport ISD teachers were recognized as outstanding educators by the Phillips 66 Corporation. Congratulations to science teacher Morgan Pittman from Brazosport High School, biography teacher Cynthia Schreiner from Brazoswood High School, and biology teacher Heather May from Brazos Success Academy, who were selected as 2024 Science/Math Teacher Recognition Award recipients for demonstrating outstanding proficiency in the fields of science and mathematics.
The annual luncheon and awards ceremony, hosted on February 15, 2024, at the Sweeny Community Center, provided a platform to celebrate these exceptional teachers, with each awardee receiving a $1,000 personal bonus check and certificate.
Superintendent Danny Massey commended the achievements of these outstanding teachers, stating, "By honoring the hard work and enthusiasm of teachers, Phillips 66 underscores its commitment to highlighting STEM initiatives, motivating both educators and students to excel in the fields of math and science."
