After an amazing freshman year as a Lady Exporter swimmer, now sophomore Sophie Stowers has again set records in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke. She will try to bring home the gold medal at the 4A UIL State Swimming and Diving Championships in San Antonio on February 15-16, 2024.

Here are a few of the outstanding accomplishments of this student-athlete in her sophomore year:

  • District 12-4A Champion in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke
  • Region 3-4A Champion in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke
  • Broke her own Regional Record in 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke

Joining Sophie at the State Meet will be the Brazosport Lady Exporter Girls 200 Freestyle Relay team that swam a qualifying time at the Regionals and was “called up” to compete at State. The top two teams from each Region automatically qualify and then the top 8 team swim times from the entire state get a “call up” to compete at the State meet. The members making up that qualifying 200 Freestyle Relay team are: Junior - Bailey Broom, Freshman -  Averie Boswell, Senior - Kelsie Myers, and Sophomore - Sophie Stowers.

Congratulations to Coach Adam Collins and Swimmers who worked hard this season. You make us very proud!
