This increase in compensation will extend over five years, contingent on their continued employment with the district. The district's total allotment is approximately $1.2 million, with 90% of the allotment going into the paychecks of the designated teachers.

Notification of designation will be communicated to qualifying teachers by district officials in the coming weeks, with funds expected to be issued in August 2024. The goal of this initiative is to attract and retain teachers who make a positive impact on our students’ lives.

“This substantial investment in our teachers not only recognizes their dedication and hard work to ensure students are learning, but also reinforces our commitment to attract and retain highly qualified staff members. Our educators play a critical role in shaping the lives of our students and we are excited they are able to earn significant additional compensation,” Superintendent Danny Massey shared.

In the event that a teacher does not qualify for a designation within the eligible teacher band of the TIA program, they have the opportunity to earn an allotment through National Board Certification.
