BISD uses SchoolMessenger for fast school-to-parent communications including attendance calls, general information and to send emergency alerts all by phone, text and/or email.
To ensure that you receive important notices, we ask that you check the contact information for your student(s) using one of the following methods:
- Visit BISD Parent Portal
- If you are registered to use Parent Portal, login and click the ‘Edit Contact Info’ tab.
- Contact your child’s campus and the attendance staff will assist you.
Note that BISD notifications will deliver to ALL those marked as a parent or guardian.
To receive text messages, you must indicate your willingness to participate. You can do this by sending a text to 67587 with the word Yes to opt in, or the word Stop to opt out. You should receive a response if successful.
Note that using the text messaging option is your choice. Standard text messaging rates may apply.
Along with our website, Parent Portal, Facebook and Twitter announcements, SchoolMessenger is a tremendous asset for general communication and emergency notifications. The district will only use SchoolMessenger to provide information that is timely and relevant.
