On February 25, the Brazoswood students from Mrs. Swenson’s German class attended the Texas State German Contest at Texas State University. The Brazoswood group placed in the top ten in every single event they entered.

Here are the state results:

  • Group Folk Dance - 3rd Place - Arianna Alvarez, Alexia Heil, Jaycee Eudy, Elisa Stahl, Veronika Reznichenko, John Newton, Connor Landry, Noah Albers, Joshua Braun, Gosha Krasovskiy

Morgann Swenson said of this group, “I cannot express enough how awesome it is to watch this program grow and excel. This is the first time in many years we have done this well in so many categories at the state level. I am beyond proud of all of these students! Brazoswood High School officially has one of the top three high school folk dancing teams in the state of Texas.”
