Department claims 15 Gold, 9 Silver, 3 Bronze Star Awards, and Crystal Merit Award

Brazosport Independent School District has earned a remarkable achievement, receiving numerous accolades at the Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) annual conference on February 22 in Fort Worth. The district was awarded three prestigious Best of Category medals, along with a Crystal Merit Award, fifteen Gold Star Awards, nine Silver Star Awards and three Bronze Star Awards, for their exceptional education communications and projects.

The TSPRA Star Awards serve as a testament to the district's dedication to outstanding education communications and excellence in their projects. This year's submissions were judged on a set of rigorous criteria across 47 categories of competition, covering various forms of media such as newsletters, programs, posters, reports, writing, image/identity packages, photography, graphics, video, electronic presentations, campaigns, events, and web sites. The winners were selected from an impressive record of 1,692 entries produced during the previous school year.

The BISD Communications team is made of four members, Karla Christman, Tami Sophia, Amber Casey and Sharon Ritchie. Their achievements are just another example of how Brazosport ISD excels locally, regionally and across the state, setting the standard for educational excellence.
