BISD Robotics Teams Shine at FIRST Lego and Tech Challenge Competitions

Ney Elementary Knights competed at Channelview High School in the FIRST Lego League Competition and came home with a 1st place ribbon in the Projects category. 

The Rasco Fusion Robotics Team earned a 2nd place award in the Research Projects category for their innovative project presentation.

At the intermediate and high school level, BISD fielded six teams at the Houston South League Meet 2 at Palacios High School. Three new rookie teams from Brazoswood, Brazosport, and Clute Intermediate entered the challenge along with the experienced Brazoswood, Brazosport, and Lake Jackson Intermediate teams. Brazosport’s rookie team did very well and placed 5th. Clute Intermediate had an operational robot, scored their first points, and won their first match. Lake Jackson Intermediate School RoboPanthers placed 7th in the meet. 

Brazoswood Teams, Texas Toast and Texas Fried Chicken, tied for 1st out of the 15 teams. Texas Toast now leads the South League in 1st, losing only one match.
