The Brazosport (May 29) and Brazoswood (May 30) graduation ceremonies are currently planned to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Hopper Field. Brazos Success Academy (May 30) will be held on the Exporter Baseball Field. If it is raining at the time of graduation, but still safe to be outdoors, the ceremony will continue as scheduled. All guests must have a ticket, regardless of age. We ask that all guests practice social distancing, and we suggest that guests wear masks, if capable. All three ceremonies will be live-streamed on Brazosport ISD’s YouTube channel:

BISD administrators will monitor the weather closely. If it becomes unsafe to be outdoors, students will be moved to the John Magee Performance Center at Brazosport High School (across from Hopper Field) for shelter. The Brazosport High School gymnasium and cafeteria will be available for parents and other guests to wait out the weather as well. Updates as to when the ceremony would proceed on Hopper Field would be communicated every 30 minutes on BISD, Brazoswood and Brazosport high school Facebook pages and via email to the parents of graduating seniors who have an email address on file with the district.
For Brazosport and Brazoswood graduations, if the weather continues to be unsafe, a final decision will be made at approximately 9:30 p.m. each evening to move the ceremony to the following day. Brazosport’s graduation ceremony would be tentatively scheduled for Saturday 1:30 p.m. and Brazoswood’s ceremony would be tentatively scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Brazos Success Academy’s decision would be made at approximately 11:30am, if the ceremony was postponed and then rescheduled for Sunday at 4:00pm.
Again, these plans would be contingent on the weather being unsafe to remain outside.
